Our testers thought it was easy to assemble, and that it looked the most luxurious of our selections. However, it's costly and you'll need to purchase the mattress separately, and If you're looking for a budget-friendly option, there are more affordable alternatives there.

The Great Little Trading Company Little Wren Cot Bed

If additional features are important for you then this cot bed might be the best option. It comes with a useful drawer for storage under the bed and teething rails. You can also alter the height of the base to three levels so that your child doesn't need to climb out as they get older.

This cot's only drawback is that it requires a separate mattress that can cause the price to go even higher than other models we reviewed.  best cot bed , ease of assembly and ability to grow with your baby are all appealing though and make it a worthwhile purchase. Our test participants liked this cot and believed it would be a beautiful addition to any nursery.

The John Lewis Elementary

The John Lewis Elementary is a great choice for parents wanting a stylish, modern-looking frame that will endure the test of time. It's a bit more expensive than some of the other options we've looked at, but it comes with an accompanying changing table and wardrobe which means you can outfit your nursery in one trip. It's also easy to put together and comes with three mattress heights for your baby to develop into. It has teething rails, and an adjustable drawer that slides under the mattress to ensure you don't waste valuable floor space.

You'll need to buy an additional mattress if you intend to use this cot bed. Therefore, think about your budget in advance. You can purchase a high mattress of good quality for less than PS100 which isn't too much of an additional cost. The only downside is that you may be unable to find a good fit because the cot has an oval shape, but there are plenty of different types of mattresses that will fit perfectly.
